“Every snail farmer is a great solution to beauty” Precious Muka Botha
25 year old precious Muka Botha is a snail farmer who is based in Kabwe, she is very creative and innovative young lady offering solution to the nation of Zambia, during an interview with Girl Empowerment Alliance for change she narrates “snail farming is something very enjoyable and i love it but it isn’t easy at all,am basically a founder of #MUKASNAILSLIME,wondering where we get our slime from?we farm and extract the snail mucus right here in kabwe Zambian, I started my business plan 5 years ago and last year I opened a page in February and started production, one thing i love about snails is that snail slime contains the perfect balance of protein’s hydronic Acid and Gatheryonic which make’s the next beauty wonder so this tells us that the major benefits of snails is to improve on skin health and enhance beauty, which has been one of the major problems in people across age and gender,so below are the benefits of using my products MUKA SNAIL SLIME PRODUCTS.
- .PROMOTES FIRMNESS
- .HEALS INFLAMMATION AND ACNE
- .PROTECTS FROM PREMATURE AGING
- .PREVENT AND REPAIRS WRINKLES
- .TIGHTENS PORES
- .HYDRATE AND SMOOTHERS
- .SMOOTHNESS AND SOFTENS
- .HEALS STRETCH MARKS AND WOUNDS
Even as much i am promoting beauty, one of the challenges i have faced in this business is collection of raw materials especially that things that I use to extract my products are only available once every year. So extraction happens rapidly during rain season only once per year. Keeping the snails alive for a long period is extremely difficult and challenging. The other challenge is that bulk extraction of the products is never achieved because of the weather changes. I have put in place measures to mitigate the challenges such as construction of an all weather structure that can hold certain climate change without causing any danger to snail.
My greatest wish is to have a very big SNAIL SLIME EXTRACTION INDUSTRY in-order for me to promote growth. and my future plans are to increase on production, to employ some of my fellow youths in order for us to contribute to the national economy, and as an empowerment program.
My word of advice to other women and youths is that the current time need people who are innovative and active, therefore, waiting for the government to do everything for you is not the right choice. You need to compete with the changing times.
