Youths Have An Opportunity To Access A Market of 1.7 Million People In Lualaba Province

One of the biggest challenges are farmers face is lack of a stable and remunerative market for their produce. Congo DR has a huge market for agriculture products.
Today’s meeting between Zambian government and a delegation from Lualaba province of the Democratic Republic of Congo led by acting Governor, Her Excellency Fifi Masuka Saini, is a step in the right direction. This was a follow-up to meetings held in the recent past with His Excellency President Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo.
Lualaba Province has a population of about 1.7 million people. This is a good market for youths accessing empowerment funds in North Western and other provinces.
The president,held a cordial and fruitful meeting with the delegation from the DRC’s Lualaba Province, that was led by the acting Governor, Her Excellency Fifi Masuka Saini.
The discussions were held as a follow-up to various other meetings that were held in the recent past with His Excellency President Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), on the importance of opening up communication and trade routes of our two countries, and also improving road and other infrastructure.
They agreed that DRC and Zambia share common cultural and historical ties dating back centuries and that the two countries continue enjoying warm and cordial relationships that have been passed on from past presidents and governments.
“It was stated that President Tshisekedi and ourselves are desirous of a deeper relationship not only anchored on mutual trust, but driven by our vision to uplift the livelihoods of our two peoples through enhanced trade and investment”.
The president emphasized the need for peace, as stability in both countries was a prerequisite to uninterrupted trade and improved economies of the DRC and Zambia.
