Start Up- Ammy Heinstain set to Invest in Pro-Biotic Wild Fruit Powders as they Launch a Range of Organic Healthy Teas.
Ammy Heinstain has set a niche as they launch a not so common organic tea range, the business focused on creating sustainable value chains for many agro producers and processors is leading by example as they actualize value addition.
The company Director Agatha Nayame disclosed in an exclusive interview with Zambia INC.that the startup is set to invest substantial amount of resources and infrastructure in processing the organic pro-biotic wild fruit powders for local and international markets as natural food additives.
Natural resources are in abundance, we are creating solutions by adding value to our indigenous fruits and vegetables the hibiscus tea is a plant that grows in fields in certain parts of our country, as for dry fruit powders we are working with cooperatives from various regions in our country.
People are switching to more healthier ways and choosing healthier lifestyles for gut health,that is why we must continue to be innovative using the resources within our reach.
Adding value to our indigenous fruits and vegetables will help enhance the fight against deforestation and its negative environmental impact.
Nayame explained the background of the company which was founded in 2016 with a vision to help establish produce markets for emerging businesses in agriculture.
“Seeing the challenges and the never ending demand for our services we have also joined the food value chain, our continent needs more players in this sector if we are going to alleviate poverty at community level, i believe in strong sustainable value chains,from producers to processors to marketers to consumers”
The company is working with multipurpose groups and cooperatives from western,northwestern and eastern provinces to source the raw material for the tea.
We are scheduled to launch pro-biotic organic food powders soon as we expand our operations.
The range of teas include: The Femine Tea which has a combination of spices and hibiscus, The Whole Hibiscus Tea and The Purple Bougainvillea Tea.
