Congratulations to ELOHOR AIBONI, Shell Nigeria’s Exploration and Production Company Limited’s newly appointed Managing Director (MD)
Elohor becomes the first woman female to lead the company in more than six decades of the company’s operations in Nigeria.
SNEPCo’s major project is the deep-water oil & gas production at the Bonga field accounting for almost one-third of Nigeria’s deep-water production comes from the Bonga and Erha fields.
Until her appointment Elohor was the Bonga Asset manager responsible for overseeing this project which has produced over 900 million barrels of oil since it began operations in 2005.
The Bonga project is operated by SNEPCo, which holds a 55% stake. Other project partners are Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited (20%), TotalEnergies E&P Nigeria Limited (12.5%) and Nigerian AGIP Exploration Limited (12.5%) under a Production Sharing Contract with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Petroleum Corporation.
In appointing this stellar professional, Shell also cites its commitment to diversity and inclusion with 300 senior female executives and senior managers Company wide.
